Affordable Wedding Venues in Pretoria

Fine, yet Affordable Selection of Wedding Venues in Pretoria

Every bride has dreamed of the perfect wedding, a special day which is to be a landmark in her and her groom’s life, and in the memories of all her loved ones and invited guests. Not only does she want to look more beautiful and radiant than ever before, but she also wants everything to run smoothly and effortlessly, on time and within budget.

Budgets

Although there are exceptions in which funds are virtually unlimited, most bridal couples have to arrange their nuptials and reception in line with their available budget. As it is, wedding gowns, accessories and garments for the wedding retinue are known to be costly, but are items on which no bride willingly chooses to skimp. After all, she is to be the star of the day, the person on whom all attention is focussed.

Excellent Quality and Top Celebratory Standards

The couple also seeks facilities, venue, décor, tasty well-prepared food and refreshments, all of top standards – definitely expecting or demanding value for their hard-earned money. On such a momentous, happy occasion – a celebration – the hosts are determined to ensure the happiness, comfort and pleasure of their esteemed guests too, people whom they’d like to spoil.

Esteemed, Appreciated Guests

Throughout the world, guests at a marriage ceremony are accorded such importance that it has been tradition to give each one a small but sincere token of appreciation, thanking them for their presence. Long ago, such tokens usually consisted of sweet treats or sugar confections (at a time when sugar was a scarce, expensive and luxurious commodity).

In modern times, wedding favours, as these treats are now known, are available in a host of guises, from chocolates, sugar coated almonds, personalised key rings, fridge magnets and wine glass bracelets to serviette rings and coasters.

Other Wedding Tradition Snippets
  • Brides carried a bunch of flowers or bouquet in order to mask less pleasant odours.
  • There are two schools of thought about the bridal veil. One claims that veils were worn to protect the woman’s face from flies and insects. The second and more likely theory states that veils prevented evil spirits from tainting the prosperity, fertility and future happiness of the bride and her marriage.
Favours are but a small component of the cost of a wedding. Hosting a celebration for multiple guests represents a major portion of related expenses, particularly if a meal is to be served and the cost of a bar service plus drinks are to be included and then, of course, there’s the venue hire too.
